I currently going through a class in Sunday School based on Ruth Haley Barton's book Sacred Rhythms.

Within the first few chapters, Barton suggests the concept of finding silence and solitude in your life so you can listen. In our society today, everything is so fast paced. It is difficult to sit a minute or two in silence without my mind being distracted.

Michael Hyatt, in his post The Practice of Stillness, discusses why we need stillness and how we can practice it within our own lives.

How has being still helped you in your life?
