The goal of yoga

When I first started yoga, I didn't know how long I would continue. Once I started to learn more about yoga and I started to develop my home practice, I knew it was something I needed to continue for my mental, physical and spiritual health.

As I researched, I looked at all the different poses and the benefits of each pose. I began to focus and wanted to master the handstand. I've never been able to do a handstand. What makes me think I can do one now?

Anyway, as I've matured a little (practiced yoga for almost a year and half), I learned that yoga is a journey. The poses and flexibility do not happen over night.

This article from Elephant Journal is great about describing what the goal of yoga is. Check it out.
