The first time I heard of To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) I was at a Switchfoot concert. Jon

Foreman, the frontman for Switchfoot, shared about the non-profit from the stage. TWLOHA was founded by Jamie Tworkowski.

His goal was to help his friend Renee Yohe who was struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury and suicidal thoughts. He wrote about the five days he spent with her before she entered a treatment center and he sold T-shirts to help cover the cost. The name given to the story was "To Write Love on Her Arms."
