Be Zealous

To be zealous or to have zeal means to have an eager desire for a person, cause, or object showing enthusiasm and diligence. When I was diagnosed with depression, I had a strong desire to beat it.

I was zealous for life.

The life I lived before my depression.

I wanted to get back to the person I was before depression hit.

I wanted to live without being tired all the time, and the fear of anxiety attacks.

I wanted to be motivated again.

Eventually, despite ups and downs, I knew I would use my experience to help others.

Finding Zeal in Life

We are all created for a purpose.

YOU were created for a purpose.

My purpose is to use my gifts to help people. Through my experience with depression and my other life experiences, I feel God is leading me to use my gift as a teacher in a non-traditional way. I recently read an article by Emilie Wapnick that explains me very well. Through the article, I discovered that I’m a multipotentialite. A multipotentialite doesn’t have “one true calling”. They have different interests and creative pursuits in life. I recently completed my Certified Professional Life Coach program. My focus is to help those struggling with life purpose, work with entrepreneurs who are struggling with creativity and people who want to be better communicators. Each of my past jobs and professions have prepared me for this journey.

Discovering passions and priorities in life helped give me what I needed to fight especially in the darkest time.

What do you love?

What are you passionate about?

Spend time focusing on those things. Find your why for living.

A tree isn’t strong and doesn’t have an expansive root system in a day, a week or a month. It takes decades for a tree to be strong enough to grow hundreds of feet tall. An apple tree doesn’t produce fruit a year after being planted.

Make changes one step, one day at a time. Focus on the small things that will add up and make a big difference. When little things overwhelm you on your journey, slow down and begin again, one step at a time.
