Yoga calms anxiety

I've been attending yoga classes for almost a year. Eventually, the plan is to develop a daily practice at home. Currently, I practice about 3 times a week, once in a studio and twice at home.

Yoga relieves my anxiety and allows me to focus on strengthening my body. It gives me grounding and improves my balance.

Each person's practice is different.

A recent article by Yoga Journal discusses how yoga relieves/calms anxiety. How Yoga Calms Anxiety Holistically also discusses the science behind yoga and anxiety. It also discusses what yoga does for the brain.

Do NOT be intimidated by yoga. Focus on yourself and do not compare yourself to others.

Namaste.
