Consult a Doctor

It took me about two months before I decided for myself I should see a doctor. I'm not sure if it's a

"man thing" or if I was just stubborn. I didn't want to be told what I had to do and when I had to do it.
After three consecutive September days of going to bed at 4:30, I finally made the decision (for myself) to call the doctor and get the first available appointment.
Before diagnosis, a feeling existed and others were beginning to pickup on before I was ready to admit it I didn’t want “labeled”. I didn’t want to admit I needed a team of professionals to help me.
Once I was diagnosed, the doctor prescribed some medication, suggested I see a counselor, and begin an exercise program. Three things I wanted nothing to do with at that point in my life.
The journey doesn't stop after one doctor appointment. Follow up appointments and blood work to check medication levels, etc. will become a three to six month routine. Sometimes earlier depending on my body's reaction and the way I felt.
Don't be afraid to see the doctor. Seek diagnosis and the best treatment plan.
Keep an open mind about all treatment options.
